Jackson Hole Museums
(Jackson Hole, Wyoming - WY, USA)
There are a handful of different museums spread around the Jackson Hole area, in locations such as Diamondville, Kelly, Kemmerer, Pinedale and of course, the town of Jackson. If this part of Wyoming has truly captured your imagination and you would like to learn more about its rich and interesting past, then a trip to the Jackson Hole History Museum is in order.
Located on Glenwood Street in Jackson itself, the Jackson Hole Historical Society and its History Museum was established as far back as 1958 and have grown in stature ever since, today being home to almost 3,000 different artifacts and even more historic photographs showing the town and surrounding region of yesteryear.
The Historical Society is run as a non-profit organization and actively tries to educate museum visitors, who will be able to enjoy exhibits from prehistoric times onwards, ranging from Indian treasures to antique furnishings. Something for all the family in Jackson Hole is the Ripley's Believe It Or Not on North Cache Street, where the weird, wonderful and downright unbelievable are brought to life, while for information about the wealth of flora and fauna within the adjacent
Grand Teton National Park, a visit to the
National Museum of Wildlife Art on Rungius Road (just off Highway US-191) will be one to pencil in.
